An ADU is an investment that will grow with your family over time

There are many reasons to build an ADU, from rental income to safe and convenient housing for relatives. An ADU on your property can bring substantial benefits and provides flexibility over time.

Building and renting an ADU is truly a community service. Alameda County needs more housing. Researchers from UC Berkeley found that ADUs can provide homes for teachers, essential workers, and others who otherwise may have to commute long distances.

Keeping the generations together and thriving

“My mom was a great support when I became a single parent and we wanted to stay together so we bought a house and built an ADU. The ADU has increased our property value and we’re grateful for the flexibility to rent or host visiting family. Teaming up has been a great gift and we’re so glad we took this leap together.”
